2017 was characterized by an increased appetite for people interested in buying luxury homes compared to the period 2009-2015, and the trend will be maintained this year with the new premium projects to be delivered. The most expensive proposed apartment for sale by Crosspoint is a penthouse with two terraces and an outdoor Jacuzzi in the Premio residential project (developed by the Italian group Nusco in Bucharest) for 1.2 million Euro plus VAT.

As regards to buyers’ profile, luxury homes are commonly acquired to be inhabited. There are also investors who are particularly interested in houses, villas or penthouses in luxury areas (Primaverii, Kiseleff) for the sole purpose of renting them to expatriates, embassies, etc. Those who buy a house for living, not renting, are usually entrepreneurs, business owners, top managers, expats, aged 40-60, with revenues of over 200,000 euros annually “says Crosspoint’s Managing Partner, Mihai Dumitrescu.
