Băneasa-Otopeni is Bucharest's northern corridor, running along the DN1 between the city centre and Henri Coandă Airport. The area mixes office parks and showrooms with residential districts and hotels, and Băneasa Shopping City remains its commercial landmark.

The Băneasa–Otopeni corridor links the north of the capital to Henri Coandă Airport along the DN1. The area draws companies that need quick access to the airport and the northern ring road, with a mix of office buildings, showrooms and operational headquarters. The tenant profile is varied: light logistics, services, companies with international operations.
History
Băneasa Airport dates back to 1912, when the Romanian Air League, led by Prince George Valentin Bibescu, set up a military flying school here, the founding act of Romania's first international airport and one of the oldest operational airports in the world. Renamed Aurel Vlaicu, it remained Bucharest's only airport until Otopeni opened in 1970, when the new terminal designed by Cezar Lăzărescu came into service with a capacity of 1.2 million passengers a year. The office area took shape much later: the Băneasa Business & Technology Park company was founded in 2005, and the park's two buildings were completed in the fourth quarter of 2007. In 2008, Băneasa Shopping City, built by Bouygues, opened, along with Unilever's headquarters in the office park, a tenant still active today.
